When you think of beauty, do you just see it as something that makes your commute take much longer? If so, then you have a very narrow view of the subject. Beauty is so much more than that and it can be personalized so that it works with your own schedule. Read on to find out how.
Try putting Vaseline on your heels and feet while you sleep. Common petroleum jelly is a very good conditioner for the feet, leaving them really smooth. Do this every night, and you’ll never need to pumice again. Make sure that after you put on the Vaseline, you put on some socks.
Unless you are suffering from severe acne, you should be sure to use a moisturizer that includes emollients, which help your skin to soak up moisture from the environment. Other ingredients, such as humectants, can actually attract moisture to the skin. Dry skin would benefit from a moisturizer with a heavy, creamy consistency.
Use some shiny white eye shadow at the dip near the middle of your upper lip to make your lips look plumper. The increase in fullness is an illusion that is created by the highlighted area of the lip reflecting light.
Add volume to your hair. You can easily do this by blow drying your hair upside-down for at least 10 minutes. When your hair is dry, give it a cool blast of air to set the volume in. You can make your hair have more bounce and volume just by doing this.
Wash makeup off thoroughly prior to going to bed. Use warm water and a soft washcloth or a solution for taking off makeup. Next, cleanse with your favorite products. When left on the skin, make-up clogs pores and can cause skin problems, such as pimples and acne.
If you have problems keeping wild and unruly brows tamed, you can keep them under control by spraying a brow brush with a bit of hairspray or clear brow gel, then gently combing your brows into place. For added shaping, you can even use a very small dab of Vaseline.
To keep your skin looking fresh and flawless, make sure you drink plenty of water each day. If you are dehydrated, you will create wrinkles, a dull face, and your skin will be dry. Try to consume 64 oz. of water daily, more if you live in an extreme climate. A bit of juice or a wedge of citrus fruit may make it tastier if you do not like plain water. Your skin will greatly benefit.
To whiten and brighten your teeth, add a little baking soda to your toothbrush once a week. Just sprinkle a little baking soda in the palm of your hand, dampen your toothbrush and press the bristles into the baking soda, add toothpaste and brush your teeth as usual. Don’t do this more than once a week since baking soda can be hard on your tooth enamel if overused.
